Clashes In Pancoran, Police: Not Local Community Organization

JAKARTA - The police said that the Pemuda Pancasila community organization involved in the clash with residents of Gang Buntu II, Pancoran Buntu, South Jakarta came from outside the area.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pancoran Police, Iptu Supardi, said this was discovered based on the results of a temporary investigation.

"Here (around the location of the incident) there are no mass organizations. So it is definitely not from here", Supardi told reporters, Thursday, March 18.

On the other hand, Supardi also said that his party is still on guard around the scene of the incident. The reason is to prevent further clashes.

However, no details were given on the number of personnel deployed in this security. He only conveyed that after the clash, the conditions so far were still conducive.

"Now we have alerted the security forces to prevent similar clashes", he said.

For information, clashes between members of the Pemuda Pancasila organization and residents broke out on Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu, Pancoran Buntu, South Jakarta on Wednesday night.

The clash that occurred near the Pancoran Statue had made the traffic flow from Tebet to Kalibata and vice versa inaccessible to vehicles.

Based on the information, the clash was said to have been triggered by a land dispute issue.
