West Java Police Disbursed 3 Evidences To Run Aground In Pretrial Peti Setiawan
The West Java Regional Police's legal team revealed evidence that supports the appointment of Pegi Setiawan as a suspect in the murder case of Vina and Eky. The West Java Regional Police believes that the evidence submitted will provide clarity to the judges regarding the investigation process that has been carried out in accordance with the rules.
"We reject all objections because the facts we have are different. We have collected three sufficient pieces of evidence, hopefully the judge can consider it," said Head of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Nurhadi Handayani, after the pretrial hearing at the Bandung District Court, Tuesday, July 2.
Responding to the argument of error in persona or an error in the determination of the suspect filed by Pegi Setiawan, Nurhadi explained that the alibi was the basis for not being strong defense.
"They tried to make an alibi, but we have revealed their weaknesses. For example, if they claim to be working on a house building in Bandung in July, but the home owner admits the work started in August, then where do they live in July? Questions like this need to be answered," he explained.

Kombes Nurhadi emphasized that Pegi Setiawan was previously included in the wanted list (DPO) issued by the West Java Regional Police.
"We have answered all these things in court," said Nurhadi.
He emphasized that all the evidence, testimony, and clues collected by investigators showed that Pegi Setiawan was a relevant figure in this case. It also refutes the information circulating on social media.
