Traffic Regulatory Volunteers At Pondok Jati Station Train Door Killed By A Locomotive Collision

JAKARTA - A young man was found dead when he was hit by a train passing at the railroad crossing (KA) Pondok Jati Station, Matraman District, East Jakarta on Friday, June 28, afternoon. Sadly, the victim was a traffic control volunteer at the Pondok Jati Station train crossing who every day helps the community and motorcyclists and cars pass by at the scene. The victim is known to have the initials ADR alias Wakwaw (23) a resident of Palmeriam, Matraman. The accident occurred at around 17.30 WIB. Head of Public Relations of the Matraman Police, Ipda Bambang Zainudin confirmed the incident. Based on information from one of the witnesses with the initials S to the police, witness S saw the victim ADR in the middle of the train at Pondok Jati Station. "Then the locomotive was crossed without a carriage from Jatinegara to Senen. Suddenly the victim went forward himself, the victim's eyes went to Senen while the train came from the direction (back of the victim) Jatineng to Senen," said Ipda Bambang to VOI. The carriageless locomotive train then bounced into the victim until his body bounced several tens meters from the scene. "The train hit the victim right in the middle of the train. The victim was hit by 50 meters and the victim died," he said. The victim's body was then evacuated to the Salemba Hospital using an ambulance car for further processing.
