Jokowi And Prabowo Will Attend, The Third Congress Of The NasDem Party Becomes A Pilkada Consolidation Event

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party will hold Congress III on August 25, 26, and 27, 2024 in Jakarta. The congress, which carries the theme "Synergy to Build the Nation", is said to be attended by President Joko Widodo and the elected President of 2024 Prabowo Subianto.

Secretary General of the NasDem Party, Hermawi Taslim, said that the III Congress of the NasDem Party was used as an event for massive internal consolidation towards the implementation of the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada.

"We make this congress a stepping stone for the main consolidation related to regional elections. Because regional elections are the biggest political momentum in the next 5 years. After that, there will be no more," said Hermawi at the NasDem DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Friday, June 28.

NasDem Party DPP chairman Martin Manurung said NasDem would also formulate recommendations to the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government in Congress III. The recommendations are related to political, legal, and economic issues.

"So from the recommendations of this congress, we will draw up priority agendas that become one common ground of the NasDem Party with all existing stakeholders, including with the new government for us to fight for over the next five years," explained Martin.

In general, the III Congress of the NasDem Party will begin with a series of precongress agendas by discussing various themes and topics ranging from the global economy, democracy, health, education, culture, poverty reduction, employment and unemployment, as well as other basic topics.

"This means that the collaborative spirit is put forward. This brings NasDem as a party that wants to build synergy, not only with political parties, but with political society, civil society, business community, government or government," said NasDem DPP chairman Willy Aditya.

Willy said the NasDem Congress III would involve 100 people in the entire series of activities. The participants were educated from the management structure to the sub-district level who would be present digitally. NasDem strives for 30 percent of congress participants to be women.

"This is a long congress, a congress involving more than 100,000 people, because we started in stages from the DPRT, DPC, DPD, DPW which then became involved in a digital concept of congress. This is a process of how the transformation into a digital party is realized," explained Willy.
