Jhoni Allen Marbun Sues AHY To Pay Compensation Of Rp. 5.8 Billion

JAKARTA - Jhoni Allen also sued Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to pay compensation of IDR 5.8 billion. The value of this loss is calculated from the material and immaterial losses from Jhoni's dismissal from the Democratic Party.

"So the potential for material loss is the salary of members of the DPR for about 60 months and a loss of Rp. 5.8 billion. Immaterial losses are the honor of JA being humiliated and whose political rights are deprived," said member of Jhoni's legal team, Slamet after the trial at the District Court. Central Jakarta, Wednesday, March 17.

Slamet said that his client Jhoni Allen sued three Democratic officials, namely AHY, Democratic Party Secretary General Teuku Riefky Harsya and Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Democratic Party's DPP Hinca Panjaitan.

"The lawsuit we are filing is a lawsuit against the law because we think that the 3 people AHY, Teuku Riefky, and Hinca jointly committed unlawful acts that harm JA's legal interests," said Slamet.

Meanwhile, the inaugural trial of Jhoni Allen Marbun's lawsuit against the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), had to be postponed. The reason was that the defendant was not present at the trial.

The decision to postpone this trial began when the panel of judges opened the first trial with an agenda for reading the lawsuit at around 11.45 WIB.

The presiding judge, Bambang Dwikora, then questioned the defendant who was not visible in the courtroom. So, the panel of judges discussed for a moment and decided to wait a while.

"This is because the defendant is not present, we will summon it one more time," said Bambang at the trial at the Central Jakarta District Court, Wednesday 17

But until the stipulated time ended, the defendant did not appear in the courtroom. The panel of judges decided to postpone the trial for the next week.

"We will postpone it first, I ask whether the plaintiff has an objection? We will postpone the trial for one week until Wednesday, March 24, 2021," said Bambang.

The panel of judges then asked the plaintiffs and defendants to appear in court next week. The trial itself is scheduled to begin next week.

For information, referring to the Case Tracing Information System (SIPP) of the Central Jakarta District Court, the lawsuit is registered with case number 135 / Pdt.G / 2021 / PN Jkt.Pst. The plan is for the trial to begin at around 10.30 WIB.

In this case, there were at least three defendants, among others, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Teuku Riefky Harsya, and Hinca Pandjaitan.
