Mike Portnoy Asks Netizens To Stop Sending Links To Indonesian Viral Drummers Playing With Buckets And Gallons

JAKARTA - The game YouTuber from Indonesia, Deden Noy plays the song Dream Theater, Metropolis - Part I: The Miracle and the Sleeper, using drums made of gallons, buckets and cans reaping praise from Mike Portnoy. The former Dream Theater drummer will even give Deden a new drum.

In a post on his social media, Wednesday, March 17, Portnoy - who left Dream Theater in September 2010 - revealed that he received hundreds or even thousands of messages and tags from all over the world who wanted him to see the play of the Bengkulu drummer.

"Over the last few weeks, I have received HUNDREDS (maybe even thousands?) Of messages, tags, and more from people around the world sending a (Youtube) link @dedennoy playing many of my songs using homemade drums," wrote Portnoy.

Apart from giving praise, Portnoy promised to reward Deden with a new drum with support from Tama and Sabian.

"His talent is indeed extraordinary and I am trying to give him new drums and cymbals with extraordinary support from @officialtamadrums and @sabiancymbals_official," said the musician who has many musical projects.

"We will keep you updated ..."

However, in the comments column of the post, Portnoy explained that he only gave ideas and the only ones who could make it happen were Tama and Sabian. For that, praise must be given to the two brands.

"While I appreciate the happy comments, the same credit should go to @officialtamadrums & @sabiancymbals_official for supporting my idea ... in fact, they are the ones who have to deal with the" tough work "😎

Half joking, Portnoy then asked netizens not to send himself a YouTube link to play Deden's game anymore.
