Since Becoming Transgender, Elliot Page Has Been Getting More Offers For Acting

JAKARTA - Actor Elliot Page conducted his first interview since announcing he was transgender three months ago. It is known that in the interview, Page has received various project offers since his confession.

"(Elliot) Page accepted offers to produce, direct and act, some of which were trans-related and some in male roles."

On December 1, 2020, Page created an open letter on Instagram containing his recognition of being transgender and his journey to discovering that identity.

Currently, Page is in Canada filming the third season of the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy. Netflix says Page continues to play the character Vanya Hargreeves in the series.

In Page's interview with TIME, he went through an uphill battle to get to where he is. She experienced some discomfort while acting as a girl.

"(I don't know) how to explain to people even though I'm an actor, wearing a t-shirt for a girl makes me unwell," Page said.

Page's friend who is also an actress, Alia Shawkat also spoke to TIME how Page felt pressure because of her appearance in the film Juno. “He's going through a difficult time with publications and expectations. 'Put this on! Style like this! And this is sexy! "

Now that he claims to be transgender, Page feels relieved and undaunted in fighting for his people's rights.
