Tang Max, MPV Latest Dynasty Series From BYD Launch Soon In China

JAKARTA - The latest Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) model from BYD which is included in the Dynasty series several times caught on camera without a clear identity, now the details of the vehicle are starting to become clear.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Tuesday, June 25, the MPV was seen for the third time in China and is confirmed to be named Tang Max. This car will enter the Chinese market this year at prices ranging from 250,000 to 350,000 yuan or around Rp563-789 million.

Several camera catch images reveal Tang Max details, such as the "Max" badge on the baggage door and the "Tang" logo on the wheel hub. Currently, the car is still in its early testing phase, but one of the sources reported that the car will officially launch in the third quarter of 2024.

In more detail, the exterior of Tang Max is still in the testing phase, but if you look closely, this car comes with a short engine hood and modern rearview mirror. From the side side, Tang Max has a flat roof line.

Entering the cabin, the MPV steering wheel is in the form of a triple bar with an LCD instrument panel attached behind it. The center console is equipped with a large touch screen that can be rotated, with a diameter likely to reach 15.6 inches.

Previously, it was revealed that Tang Max was a PHEV minivan. This car will be equipped with a 5th generation powertrain hybrid plug-in system from BYD, which has a pure electric range of up to 200 km.

By expanding its ranks of models, BYD continues to strengthen its position as one of the main players in the environmentally friendly vehicle sector.

In Indonesia, BYD has presented various electric car models such as Dolphin, Atto 3, and Seal. At the IIMS 2024 event last February, BYD also introduced the D9 Denza electric MPV. BYD plans to continue bringing its best models to the Indonesian market.

"We will continue to strive for the best models in the global sector," said Head of Marketing & Communication of PT BYD Motor Indonesia Luther Panjaitan, last April.
