Firli Bahuri Denies Receiving IDR 1.3 Billion From SYL: Lies!
JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK, Firli Bahuri, denied the testimony of former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo regarding the handover of money worth Rp1.3 billion to investigate the alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).
Through his attorney, Ian Iskandar, all the information from Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL in the trial was just slander and lies.
"What is clear is that it is a false statement and is not based on actual facts," said Ian when contacted, Tuesday, June 25.
One of SYL's testimonies that was considered manipulative was the matter of the submission of Rp. 500 million during a meeting at Gor Badminton in the Central Jakarta area.
The real facts, said Ian, Kevin or aide to Firli Bahuri, who is said to have received money from Panji Harjanto never happened.
Because, during the meeting, Kevin was not at the location because he was infected with COVID-19.
"Kevin is sick, he's not there, there is evidence of a doctor's statement, there is evidence that he is being treated again for COVID-19," he said.
Then, Ian also mentioned the testimony of the former Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Kasdi Subagyono. At that time, SYL's legal advisor questioned Panji's presence when gathering officials and SYL asked for Rp50 billion.
"Is it true that during the one meeting, echelon 1, the secretary general Inspector General had the presence of Panji, and it was denied by Mr. Kasdi, oh, not true. One, inconsistency there is a request of 50 billion," said Ian
Previously, SYL had admitted that he had twice handed over money to the former KPK chairman, Firli Bahuri. The amount reached Rp1.3 billion.
This confession began when the judge questioned the existence of a meeting with Firli which had become a public spotlight.
SYL did not deny the meeting. SYL explained that Firli asked him to come to the badminton Sports Center in the Central Jakarta area.
Then, the judge continued to question SYL with several questions. Until finally alluding to the issue of handing over the money.
SYL also admitted that he had twice handed over money to the former KPK chairman.
"And there was a handover of suadara's money earlier, yes. How many times did he hand over?" asked the judge.
