Good News For Semarang Residents, Vaccination Center With BUMN Will Open Next Week

JAKARTA - The government continues to accelerate the national vaccination program. One of them is by expanding the vaccination center service posts with BUMN (State-Owned Corporation) in several big cities in Indonesia. This is due to the high enthusiasm of the elderly group to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination program.

Head of the Joint BUMN Vaccination Center Task Force and Special Staff to the Minister of BUMN, Arya Sinulingga said the first city that will have a vaccination center service post with BUMN outside Jakarta is Semarang, Central Java.

"This is because of the great enthusiasm of the elderly. We have plans to open it in Semarang next week", he said in a virtual discussion, Tuesday, March 16.

The next city that will follow after Semarang is Surabaya. According to Arya, the opening in the city of heroes is planned for the end of this month

"So, at the end of March (we) will open a (Vaccination Center) in Surabaya", he said.

Arya said that for the vaccination recipients, he is optimistic that the target is 5,000 people per day. As is the case in the capital city of Jakarta as the center of the Vaccination Center and BUMN service post.

"The target is 5,000, but in Istora we can afford more than 7,000 and are served well", he said.

Furthermore, Arya appealed to all seniors who will take part in the COVID-19 vaccination to register online by accessing the link provided, namely https://loket.com/event/vaksinasicovid19foruklansia.

Arya explained that online registration was intended to prevent congestion and crowds at the joint BUMN Vaccination Center locations.

Amid the high public interest in vaccination, Arya emphasized that the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine is guaranteed and sufficient to meet the needs of the vaccination program.

"There is no need to worry about the availability of vaccines, of course, the government is available. There is no problem with that", he said.
