The Fan God Is Invited To Join As A Professional Chess Player

JAKARTA - The cleverness of Dewa Kipas aka Dadang Subur in defeating the GothamChess chess players on the Chess.com site attracted the attention of many parties. The Indonesian Chess Association (PERCASI) is no exception, which is eyeing the ability of the Dewa Kipas account owner to join as a professional chess player.

"PB Percasi is very welcome. PB Percasi is our chess house, so anyone who wants to play whoever feels great can come to PB Percasi, we are very, very well received," said PB Percasi Board of Trustees Eka Putra Wirya. the official statement.

Given the viral Dewa Kipas because it was banned unilaterally which made Indonesian netizens attack the social media account of GothamChess whose real name is Levy Rozman from the United States (US). As a result, these negative comments spread to other social media platforms.

"This incident makes us sad, in the sense that this problem can spread everywhere, but of course this is at the same time to educate all online players," said Eka.

Meanwhile, Head of Development and Achievement of PB Percasi, Kristianus Liem, said the matches at chess.com were private and unofficial. So that there is no interest in PB Percasi to ask about this problem.

"This is a very personal event, not an event like the Asian Cup, the online Olympics. If it happened in an event like that, of course PB Percasi would be the first organization to ask for clarity," said Kristianus.

Even so, according to him, PB Percasi already has a systematic recruitment system, as evidenced by the achievements it has made. Percasi also has open competitions and events.

"It's very easy if someone with an achievement wants to enter the national team, for example. So you can't play in a private match like that and you feel worthy of being a national player, for example. We have procedures, there are levels to get to the national team," he concluded.
