NTB Regional Police Arrests Fugitive Classroom Drugs In Banyuwangi, Confiscates 2 Cars
MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police Team arrested a fugitive in a high-profile drug case in Banyuwangi, East Java.
West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Dirresnarkoba Kombes Helmi Kwarta Kusuma Putra Rauf said the fugitive drug case arrested with the East Java Police Team had the initials EL, from Sumbawa.
"So this person concerned was arrested based on the results of the development of a case of 3.3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in the middle of last year," said Helmi as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 16.
EL is the owner of 3.3 kg of crystal methamphetamine. Meanwhile, Sahrul Ramdan alias Tio, who was arrested by the Mataram Police Satresnarkoba Team, is now serving a 20-year prison sentence.
"It is from Tio's information that we get the role of EL, who is called the owner of the item (3.3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine)," said Helmi.
EL was arrested in Banyuwangi with his wife with the initials CH. Now both of them are already at the NTB Regional Police Headquarters.
"So we will secure his wife with her status as a witness," said Helmi.
Apart from arresting EL, the officers also secured two cars, one two-wheeled vehicle. Also confiscated savings books and several land payment receipts were also secured.
"Later, from the evidence that we secure, we will develop it," said Helmi.
