PAPUA - Another gun battle occurred between the Infantry Battalion 133/Yudha Sakti Task Force and the Free Papua Organization (OPM) group in the Sorong Raya area. In the action that took place in the forest of the South Aifat District, Maybrat, Southwest Papua, the Task Force managed to secure a homemade weapon.
The Task Force Commander, Lt. Col. Inf. Andhika Ganessakti, in Kumurkek, Sunday said that during the firefight, Yudha Sakti's troops managed to control the OPM Headquarters and secure various forms of evidence, including 1 assembled rifle.
"In addition, there are also 4 rounds of sharp ammunition with a caliber of 5.56, 1 casing, 1 magazine, 1 piece of Morning Star flag, 2 solar cells, 1 Android cellphone, 1 polyponic cellphone, 1 HT," said Ganessakti as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, June 23.
He continued, other evidence included 3 pyloxes, 8 flashlights, 1 whistle, dozens of ABC battery brands, 1 cell power, various kinds of receipt documents, several circles, dozens of bows and arrows, foodstuffs and various attributes of the OPM.
"The incident began when the Mobile Sakti 1 Team led by Sertu Dega Jandri Foldanda and the Mobile Sakti 3 Team led by Sertu Dimas Nuhali Pardosi found the OPM headquarters and wanted to carry out an ambush against the headquarters," explained Ganessakti.

He said that at that time suddenly 4 OPMs were seen carrying three homemade firearms running while shooting at the 3rd Mobile Sakti Team, resulting in a shootout.
"At the time of the firefight, one of the OPM groups was confirmed to have been shot by Yudha Sakti's troops, this was evidenced by the discovery of bloodstains scattered at the crime scene but managed to escape," said Genassakti.
It should be noted together, he is rich, that most of the OPM's weapons in the Sorong Raya area are estimated to still use homemade firearms.
"The success of the Yudha Sakti Troops this time is a success that is said to be quite special because it has succeeded in securing 1 homemade firearm along with its magazine and ammunition," said Genassakti.
