Gibran Protests Being Said To Not Understand Football: Menpora Cup To Stadium In Solo Being Improved, Don't You Understand?

JAKARTA - The Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, protested if he was deemed not to understand football. Various field improvements to the plan to announce the new owner of Persis Solo are proof of the city's attention towards football.

"I have said many times that our love for the ball is great, you know! The stadium is already good, we are building it. That's my commitment to Persis Solo to exist in Solo, how do you not understand the ball? said Gibran, as quoted from the Youtube news website of Surakarta, Tuesday, March 16.

Other evidence can be seen from the efforts of the Solo City Government to hold the Menpora Cup there. The goal is that the economic wheels of the local community will return to spin after being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Saturday, March 20, Gibran also announced the new owner of Persis Solo.

"Let friends of Pasoepati (Persis Solo supporters) know, Mas Gondrong (Pasoepati frontman, Maryadi 'Gondrong' Suryadharma) will also be invited here. Our love for the ball is great", explained the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka apologized to the owner of the @arkham_87 i Instagram account, Arkham, who was caught insulting him on Instagram @garudarevolution. Arkham wrote, "What does he know about football, but only when he was given a position", on Instagram @garudarevolution.

At that time, Arkham commented on the post regarding the wish of the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, that the Menpora Cup semifinals and finals be held in Solo.

Upon this comment, Arkham was summoned to the Solo Police and given education about the mistakes he had written.

The election for Gibran has been carried out through a correct democratic process, involving supervisors and election organizers. Most importantly, the people of Solo participate in channeling their constitutional rights in voting.
