Messari Founder Ryan Selkis Accuses Martin Shkreli Of Trying To Damage Trump's Campaign Through DJT Tokens
JAKARTA - Ryan Selkis, founder and CEO of Messari, a crypto asset market intelligence firm, accused Martin Shkreli, known as Pharma Bro, of working with federal agencies to undermine Donald Trump's campaign through DJT tokens. These allegations have sparked heated debate on social media between the two figures.
Selkis accused Shkreli of conspiring with federal agencies to carry out a "sting" operation to undermine the campaign efforts of former president Donald Trump. Selkis claims that Shkreli used DJT tokens, linked to Donald Trump, to undermine Trump's campaign reputation. He also accused Shkreli of pretending to be friends with Barron Trump, Trump's youngest son, of strengthening his operations.
Quoted from Bitcoin.com News, Selkis said, "You pretend to be friends with Barron Trump to spoil the campaign with an operation."

Shkreli quickly rejected this accusation. He stated that Selkis was only paranoid and watched too many movies. "Just laugh at you, everyone is laughing at you who are starting to lose control. Nobody is trying to kill you, Ryan. You meet POTUS like 20 million others," said Shkreli.
Shkreli also added that he created DJT by involving Barron Trump, although no public statement confirmed the claim from Trump's family. Near sources who were not named have reportedly denied any connection between Trump's family and the DJT token.
Despite this heated debate, the price of DJT was not significantly affected. At the time of writing, DJT was trading around 0.015 US Dollars (approximately IDR 246.38) with a market capitalization of more than 150 million US Dollars (approximately IDR 2.4 trillion).
Selkis' accusations reflect greater concerns about how actors in the crypto world can influence politics. Using tokens like DJT, there is potential manipulation that could undermine individual political campaigns or reputations. Selkis insists that his actions are driven by the intention to protect Trump's campaign from bad influences like Shkreli, which he calls sketchy.
