DKI Land Purchase Suspected Of Corruption, Lokataru: Why Isn't The Supreme Audit Agency Sound?
JAKARTA - Executive Director of Lokataru Foundation, Haris Azhar admits that he is surprised why the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has not detected indications of corruption in land acquisition by Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya in DKI.
In fact, it was an employee of Sarana Jaya who exposed the alleged corruption in the mark-up of land prices by the inactive CEO of Sarana Jaya, Yoory C. Pinontoan. They reported to the KPK.
"The question is, why does the BPK report every year not make a sound? Why should someone have the courage?" said Haris Azhar in the Aiman Kompas TV program, Monday, March 15.
This is because Haris suspects that the land acquisition mafia mode in DKI has been played by the same players for a long time and has not been touched by the law until now.
This is related to the alleged corruption in land acquisition in Cengkareng, West Jakarta in 2015. It is suspected that the broker in the two cases is the same husband and wife. "There are old people who can live in various seasons, during the Ahok era and the Anies era," he said.
According to him, the BPK could detect that something was wrong in the land acquisition. This is because land acquisition has a certain mechanism.
For example, about the price which is determined by means of an estimate of the market price. Then, it can be seen who the owner sold the land. Then, were there other owners of the land before and how long did it take for the transfer of ownership to take place.
"It was discovered if someone was poking in the middle in order to take advantage, he bought it first and then the price was increased," said Haris.
For information, the Corruption Eradication Commission has confirmed that it is conducting an investigation into the alleged corruption case in the purchase of land for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's DP Program by the DKI Jakarta BUMD.
Shortly afterwards, Anies Baswedan dismissed Yoory Corneles Pinontoan from the position of President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya.
"The governor at that time immediately made a decision to deactivate the person concerned. In this case, Yoory will follow the legal process by adhering to the presumption of innocence," said the Acting Head of BP BUMD for DKI Jakarta Province, Riyadi.
Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, confirmed that his party will give Yoory the opportunity to defend himself in his legal case.
"We are giving opportunities to Yoory and the others who will also be able to defend themselves," said Riza.
Riza wants to apply the presumption of innocence and give Yoory the opportunity to reveal information with the existing facts and data. Riza also respects the investigation into the alleged corruption case being investigated by the KPK.
"Let us respect all this process, whoever enforces the law later. We will see the results according to the facts on the data in the field based on the results of investigations from the KPK," he said.
