Rizieq Shihab Still Insisted On Coming To The Court, The Judge Refused And He Walked Out
JAKARTA - Habib Rizieq Shihab insisted on attending the trial of the reading of the indictment related to swab at the UMMI Hospital in Bogor. Rizieq refused to take the trial online.
"If the online trial I will not participate and I will leave this room," said Rizieq to the panel of judges, Tuesday, March 16.
The judge rejected Rizieq Shihab's wish to be presented at the trial. The judge continued the trial.
"We will continue the trial with health protocols," said the judge.
"If the trial is continued I will leave, I will walk out," said Rizieq as he left the room.
Previously, Rizieq had explained a number of reasons why he wanted to be presented at the trial. According to him, it was his right as a defendant to be present in person.
"I don't want to be sent online, sorry, a thousand sorry, because this concerns me," said Rizieq before leaving the courtroom.
In this case, Bareskrim Polri named three suspects, including Rizieq Shihab, Hanif Alatas, and President Director (Managing Director) of Ummi Hospital, dr. Andi Tatat.
They are named as suspects based on their case titles. The investigators assess that they have committed a criminal act so that their status is upgraded from witness to suspect.
