Theft Of 150 Grams Of Gold And Ringgit Money In The Empty House Of Medan Shot
MEDAN - A thief of gold jewelery weighing 150 grams and tens of dollar and ringgit bills in an empty house in Medan was shot.
The Head of the East Medan Police, Kompol M Arifin said the theft case was reported by the victim Sahlun Nasution. The thief broke into the house on Jalan M Yacub, Medan Perjuangan, when the owner was away.
"The victim lost one gold gold ring 1.16 grams, 1 gold pendant and earrings 8.55 grams, 1 pink eye gold ring weighing 7.7 grams, 1 colorful gold ring weighing 8.6 grams, 2, plus 1 pendant. "Gold bracelets weighing a total of 29 grams, 1 bracelet, 1 necklace, 2 rings, 1 gold pendant weighing 103 grams, 1 laptop unit and 4,000 Ringgit Malaysian ringgits," Arifin told reporters, Tuesday, March 16.
After getting a report from the victim, the police then conducted an investigation to pursue the culprit.
"Obtained the characteristics of the perpetrator," he explained.
Suspect M Fauzi was later arrested in East Medan. Evidence, including motorbikes and electronics, was secured.
"We immediately made arrests of the suspects," he said.
From the results of the interrogation, the perpetrator Fauzi admitted to breaking into the victim's house with his colleague named Dircalindu Yunandar Nasution alias Mandra. The perpetrator admitted that the stolen goods were divided into two.
Perpetrator Fauzi was shot for trying to attack the police and trying to seize a firearm.
"It is estimated that the loss of the victim is Rp120 million. Fauzi got Rp60 million stolen. Then the money was bought by a motorcycle and a number of electronic goods," he said.
The police called the suspect Fauzi a recidivist who had been detained at the Dolok Sanggul Police.
"The case of theft, serving a sentence of 3 years in prison and being released in 2018," said Arifin.
