At The East Jakarta District Court, The Women Who Rizieq's Supporters Shouted At The Law Not To Point Downward
JAKARTA - The crowd of supporters of the former Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) frontman Habib Rizieq Shihab is not allowed to enter the East Jakarta District Court. They were observed to be in front of the East Jakarta District Court.
Several women aka 'emak-emak' (Betawi's dialect) took action in front of the East Jakarta District Court. These women come from all over the region. In their actions, they demand justice as much as possible.
"Ask for justice, which is true and fair, the law should not be pointed downward but blunt upward. Meanwhile, there are many people who are crowding. There is nothing wrong with getting married together", said one of the women, Dessy at the East Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, 16 March.
"Justice is not fair and does not take sides with the people. Corruption is everywhere", she continued.
The police also asked the protesters not to crowd and keep their distance. The 'emak-emak' also responded to the police's appeal with scathing comments.
"Here you have kept your distance", said one of the women while sitting on the grass on the sidewalk garden.
Until now, the action is still taking place in front of the East Jakarta District Court while awaiting Rizieq Shihab's trial. The police also closed the entrance to the East Jakarta District Court even though the trial was open to the public.
