World Food Safety Day, Bogor City Invites To Play A Role In Reducing Food Congenital Diseases
BOGOR- World Food Safety Day falls on June 07. A milestone in efforts to promote health, keep the world safe, and protect those vulnerable to disease.
Likewise, it is also a concern and inspires actions to prevent, detect and manage the risk of congenital diseases.
Food safety is not only an important component for food security, but also plays an important role in reducing food congenital diseases.
Every year, 600 million people fall ill due to about 200 types of food congenital diseases. In addition, food congenital diseases are responsible for 420,000 deaths that can be prevented annually.
The theme of commemoration of World Food Safety Day in 2024 is 'Food safety: prepare for the unexpected' or which means 'Food Safety: preparedness for unexpected conditions'.
This theme underscores the importance of preparing for a food safety incident, no matter how light or severe the incident.
The commemoration of World Food Safety Day (HKPS) for the 2024 National Level will be held in Bogor City on June 11, 2024. The Bogor City Government appreciates this implementation because it is believed to be the 2nd HKPS venue and also as a series of activities in the context of the 542nd Bogor City Anniversary which will be held on June 3, 2024.
This moment is also an opportunity for the City of Bogor to introduce culinary tourism which is an attraction for tourists to come to Bogor City, empower the community and the surrounding environment by absorbing labor and arrangement, as well as investment.
In addition, it can bring fresh air to MSME players or the creative economy (ekraf) including home industry players who have continued to make and preserve various traditional culinary delights and the legendary typical of Bogor such as yellow soup, noodle soup, Clarang, salty, sweet, talas Bogor and others.
The World Food Safety Day Commemoration Activity (HKPS) was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Director of Environmental Restructuring of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Head of the National Standardization Agency (BSN), PJ Mayor of Bogor.
Other elements of the Bogor City Regional Leadership Communication Forum are, Bogor City Regional Secretary, Head of the Health Service, Head of the P2P Division of the Health and East Kalimantan Service, Head of OPD, Head of Puskesmas, Food Safety Task Force Team of Food Centers, Sanitarian, Cadre, TPPKK Kelurahan, GAIN, Perumda Tirta Pakuan (PDAM), Food Center Elements, and Private Elements.A series of World Food Safety Day (HKPS) activities include opening/welming, symbolic embedding food safety task force vests to Regional Secretary as chairman and Head of the Health Service as secretary.
The awarding of counseling certificates to representatives of the Sukasari Culinary Center and Sentra Ranggading, ceremonial, talkshow, Umkm bazaar and cooking demonstrations, and the inauguration and signing of the inscription of the culinary center of the Sukasari terrace by Mr. PJ Mayor of Bogor and representatives of PT Tirta Investama (Danone).
With the commemoration of World Food Safety Day (HKPS), it is hoped that the public will be aware of the importance of food safety (Awareness) and convey information and education on how to prevent disease through food safety (Education).
