Nissan Offers Leaf Model 2025 In The US, Here's The Advantage!
JAKARTA - Nissan has released the Leaf as a model in 2025 in the United States market. This manufacturer from Japan will present two variants, namely S and SV Plus which have their respective advantages.
In design, this environmentally friendly hatchback has no difference with the previous version. However, the Leaf will be equipped with advanced technology according to the needs of today's drivers.
Reporting from InsideEVs, Thursday, June 13, the Nissan Leaf 2025 will have 'Nissan Safety Shield 360' technology which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Lane Departure Warning technology.
Meanwhile, the SV Plus variant will get the ProPilot Assist and Intelligent Around View Monitor features as standard.
For the battery, type S has a 40 kWh battery that can provide a range of up to 239 km in one charge. Meanwhile, the SV Plus type is the highest for a 60 kWh battery and is able to run up to 341 km.
It is estimated that this manufacturer from Japan maintains a CHAdeMO charging system that can charge up to 80 percent in 60 minutes for a 40 kWh battery. However, the presence of the Leaf in Uncle Sam's country is accommodated with the CHAdeMO charging station of nearly 5,000 facilities.
In addition, the difference between the two is in terms of performance. By carrying a front-wheel drive, the Leaf S can produce 147 dk of power from electric motors and the SV Plus has up to 214 dk of power.
Talking about the price, the Nissan Leaf is priced from US$28,140 or around Rp458.2 million to the most expensive, reaching US$36,190 or equivalent to Rp589.3 million.
The current generation of Nissan Leaf has been present since 2017 and is one of the older electric vehicle (EV) models that still shows its existence until now. However, the manufacturer has confirmed that it will present its newest generation.
The third generation is expected to launch in 2025 and will be produced at the Sunderland plant, England. The model has been previewed by the Chill Out concept in 2021 and is expected to change from a small traditional Leaf hatchback to a high riding SUV to offset market changes.
Nissan has also begun working on a production line reshuffle to accommodate the installation of large battery packs, and high-voltage components in preparation for the next generation of Leafs, with testing and validation of the line expected to begin in August.
Meanwhile in Indonesia, the Nissan Leaf, which sold more than 650,000 units worldwide, was launched in August 2021 and on the Nissan Indonesia website, it is known that the price is now being marketed starting at IDR 738 million.
