Tomorrow The Rizieq Shihab Trial Is Held Virtual, The Police Alert 658 Police At The East Jakarta District Court
JAKARTA - Rizieq Shihab is undergoing the first trial of the Petamburan crowd case tomorrow. The trial was held virtually, but the National Police continued to provide security at the East Jakarta District Court.
Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, said the trial was held virtually with Rizieq Shihab's position following the trial from Bareskrim.
"Even so, the Police are preparing troops for security at the East Jakarta District Court. There are about 658 personnel who will secure the MRS trial activities which will start tomorrow. Once again, a virtual trial, this is the community must be understood, ”Brigadier General Rusdi told reporters, Monday, March 15.
To sympathizers / supporters of Rizieq Shihab, the National Police reminded that the trial was held virtual. The panel of judges who are at the East Jakarta District Court will conduct a teleconference with Rizieq Shihab at Bareskrim.
"This means that MRS will remain at the Bareskrim Polri to carry out the trial, it is better for whoever will attend the trial, do it according to the applicable regulations. Because the trial is virtual, activities will be conducted virtually too. So the people still follow that, so the MRS remains at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit, the activities are at the East Jakarta District Court, "said Brigadier General Rusdi.
In the Petamburan crowd case, Rizieq was charged with charges related to Article 160 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 99 of Law number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
Or, Article 216 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code, or the third Article 93 of Law number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
Then, article 14 paragraph (1) of Law number 4 of 1984 concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases jo Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code. Or finally Article 82A paragraph (1) jo 59 paragraph (3) letters c and d Law number 16 of 2017 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law number 2 of 2017 concerning Amendments to Law number 17 of 2013 regarding Community Organization to Law jo Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st KUHP jo Article 10 letter b KUHP jo Article 35 paragraph (1) KUHP.
Apart from Rizieq Shihab, five FPI officials, namely, Haris Ubaidillah, Ahmad Sabri Lubis, Ali Alwi Alatas, Idrus alias Idrus AL-Habsyi, and Maman Suryadi will also have their inaugural session tomorrow, Tuesday, March 16.
