Still Not Fighting Anthony Joshua Even Though Paid Rp. 2 Trillion, Tyson Fury Is Enjoying 12 Liters Of Beer A Day
JAKARTA - Tyson Fury has dismissed reports that his fight with Anthony Joshua will be held in June or July. He admitted that he was on holiday from practicing and was engrossed in enjoying 12 liters of beer a day.
The battle of Fury versus Joshua is one of the parties we have been waiting for. Recently, the two promoters said that in the next few weeks the Rp4 trillion fight agreement was finalized.
However, Fury brushed off the news in an interview with iFL TV. He doesn't want to fight anymore even though winning or losing both boxers will get IDR 2 trillion each.
"Whatever they say really doesn't matter to me because, until I have a fight date and a lot of money in my pocket, there is no fight," said the boxer nicknamed King Gipsy.
“Am I going to fight Joshua in the next ten minutes? Not. Do I think the fight will eventually happen? Yes, it has to happen. Do I think it's my next fight or it will happen soon? Not.
"I'm not going to say 'this must happen in June or July'".
Fury has been out of the ring since his dominant win over Deontay Wilder in February 2020.
The 32-year-old boxer has long been out of the ring. He claims he never practices again and has more fun with alcoholic beverages.
“I drink anything between eight, ten, 12 liters of beer a day, every minute. I don't eat, so I get my calories through alcohol.
"I've been training and practicing and practicing without progress, so now I'm a person who has free time. I'm on vacation."
