The Closing Of The Suzuki Factory In Thailand Affects Indonesia? This Is The SIS Answer

JAKARTA - The closure of the Suzuki Motor Thailand (SMT) factory at the end of 2025, is certain to have no impact on PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) in Indonesia.

This was revealed by the W Marketing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) Harold Donnel, he revealed that if you look at the car model produced in Thailand, it is not marketed in Indonesia at this time.

"If you look at the car models produced in Suzuki Thailand, there will be no impact or influence that will be felt by Suzuki Indonesia, because the models they produce are not marketed in Indonesia at this time," he said, when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, June 11.

Indeed, reflecting on the models currently being marketed in Indonesia, there are several models assembled domestically and imported from India. Like Jimny 5 doors that rolled out early last year, Suzuki S-Presso, to imported Vitara from India.
