The Violent Action Of Polwan Bakar Husband In Mojokerto Is Suspected Of Depression After Giving Birth

JAKARTA - The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) asked the East Java Police to examine the condition of Brigadier FN, a husband-burning policewoman, whether experiencing post-partum depression or depression after giving birth, which had an impact on her heinous act.

"We heard that the suspect had just returned to work after maternity leave for twins who were the second child of the suspect and the victim," said Kompolnas member of the Poengky Indarti community, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 10.

This examination is important, to find out, the motive for the suspect to burn her husband who is also a member of the National Police is not only related to his anger at the victim (husband) playing online gambling.

"It is reasonable to suspect that there are other reasons that make the suspect's emotions peak," said Poengky.

Kompolnas, said Poengky, was concerned and regretted the occurrence of domestic violence (KDRT) by a wife who is a policewoman and resulted in her husband's death.

"Kompolnas encourages the East Java Regional Police to carry out investigations with the support of scientific crime investigation," he said.

According to Poengky, currently the East Java Regional Police are still investigating the suspect, including the psychiatrist being involved to check his psyche.

"Kompolnas encourages assistance from psychiatrists to suspects," said Poengky.

The East Java Regional Police have named Brigadier FN as a suspect, and detained him at the East Java Police Detention Center. The suspect was charged with Article 44 Paragraph 3 Subs Paragraph 2 of the Constitution no. 23 of 2004 concerning domestic violence with a penalty of 15 years in prison.

It is known that Brigadier FN, who served at the Mojokerto City Police, allegedly burned her husband, First Brigadier RWD, at their house at the Mojokerto Police Dormitory complex on Saturday morning.

First Brigadier RWD had undergone medical treatment in the ICU room at Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Hospital, Mojokerto City due to 96 percent burns. However, his life could not be saved. He was declared dead on Sunday (9/6) at 12.55 WIB.
