ABUPI Selengganakan Seminar Nasional Dan Rapat Kerja Nasional IX Di Jakarta
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Port Business Entity Association (ABUPI), held a National Seminar and National Working Meeting (Rakernas) which was held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Aryaduta Menteng Hotel, Jakarta.
Present at this National Seminar were Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and associations.
"With the collaboration, the program presented by the president will be delivered. Seeing the port as a showcase of logistical activities, where if the Port runs well and is managed by GCG and in good service, technically it can also be a capital for us to be a part of supporting Indonesia Gold 2045. In this context, the concern is infrastructure and technology improvement, human resource and competence as well as synergy between business actors, "said Budi, in his statement, Saturday, June 8.
On this occasion, Budi Karya also expressed his appreciation to ABUPI for violating this seminar which was attended by various associations and other stakeholders.
National Seminar
This National seminar presented four resource persons with the theme Industry Jasa Kepebuhanan As A Bridge Towards Golden Indonesia 2045. Director General of Sea Transportation Antoni Arif Priadi conveyed that the main requirements for portation towards Indonesia Emas 2045 are adequate infrastructure, HR availability, technology implementation, planning and economic growth.
Meanwhile, from ISA, represented by Darmansyah Tamnas, said that it was related to the synergy between ports and shipping to achieve Indonesia Gold as two sides of the currency. He also conveyed the essence of the principle of cabotage.
Sebagai narasumber terakhir adalah Akbar Djohan dari ALFI, lebih menyoroti kolaborasi publik dan pribadi untuk infrastruktur port. Menurutnya, untuk pembangunan Pelabuhan diperlukan skema yang menarik untuk mengundang investor.
ABUPI IX National Working Meeting
The ABUPI IX National Working Meeting was attended by all the Central Executive and Chairman of the Regional Coordinator as well as members of ABUPI from all over Indonesia. At this National Working Meeting, it resulted in several important points, including forming a working group to review various rules in the field of portation, affiliated with international port organizations and forming a special committee ahead of the 2025 ABUPI National Conference.
At this National Working Meeting, seven Regional Coordinators, namely, the Riau Regional Coordinator, North Sumatra Regional Office, Lampung Regional Office, North Kalimantan Regional Military Command, and Central Sulawesi Regional Office.
In this inauguration, ABUPI General Chair Aulia Febrial Fatwa stated, this is a big responsibility but also an extraordinary opportunity to contribute to the development of the Indonesian port industry.
"As the Chair of the Regional Office, I have an important role in leading and coordinating ABUPI activities in his region. This task is not easy, but I am sure that dedication, commitment, and leadership will be able to carry out this mandate well," he said.
