2,173 Households In Semarang Enjoy Earth Gas Via Jargas

PT PGN Tbk carried out gas in or the distribution of gas for the first time in Semarang as many as 2,173 Home Connections (SR).

PGN synergizes with the central government, in this case the Directorate General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in a household gas network development project designated as one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN).

PGN's Director of Infrastructure and Technology Harry Budi Sidharta said that the 2,173 SR jargas is part of the gas network project being built by PGN in 2024.

From January - May 2024, 12,000 SRs have been installed and 10,600 SRs have been gas.

"PGN will build a total distribution pipeline length for gas lines in 2024 of approximately 2,242 KM in various parts of Indonesia, including the construction and provision of gas infrastructure in the capital city of the archipelago (IKN)," he said, Thursday, June 6.

With the support of the government, Harry hopes that the construction of jargas can run smoothly in various regions and can achieve the predetermined targets.

PGN is also committed to synergizing with the government on the construction of gas lines as an effort to increase the national energy mix.

Harry added that PGN developed a Jargas with a beyond pipeline scheme to meet the needs of household natural gas in areas that have not been reached by gas pipelines and are far from gas sources.

The beyond pipeline scheme is implemented in Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region and at IKN which is currently in the process of being developed.

The addition of household jargas in Semarang is expected to provide real benefits for the community. Jargas can provide experience using practical, efficient, safe, and non-stopping energy 24/7," added Harry.
