VIDEO: More Than IDR 567 Billion Has Not Been Returned To Tapera Participants
JAKARTA - People's Housing Savings or Tapera is a savings program facilitated by the government, so that the Indonesian people can have a decent place to live. Currently, not only ASN, the President has even signed regulations for workers in other sectors to participate in Tapera. The public then highlighted the news of unpaid savings funds to participants who took part in the program.
The Supreme Audit Agency once revealed several problems that occurred at BP Tapera in 2021. One of them is the issue of refunds. In the examination report published by BPK, there were 124,960 Tapera participants who had not received the refund in total of Rp. 567,457,735,810. This was revealed after the BPK team confirmed the data with the State Civil Service Agency and PT Taspen.
A total of 124,960 participants were participants whose membership had ended due to death or had entered retirement. After being traced, there is a fact that 191 participants actually have a pension status and have died with the support of a Pension Certificate. However, this status has not been updated by the employer, so his membership at BP Tapera is still active and cannot be granted the right in the form of recovering the savings.
Netizens were busy commenting on the issue of Tapera's non-returning funds. As told by @sakinahmelia who expressed her protest to the government because she was subject to a fine of 0.3% if she was late in paying the savings. The public questioned the savings that were as if forcing this. They demanded the same thing in refunding funds, namely imposing fines if they slowly disbursed participants' savings. Many also do not trust the government in managing the savings money.
According to the public, managing only a small amount of participant funds cannot, let alone managing funds from hundreds of millions of Indonesians. Watch the video below.
