KESDM Proposes A Budget Of IDR 88.36 Trillion For Electricity Subsidies In 2025
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Director General of Electricity, Jisman Hutajulu, has proposed a budget for electricity subsidies of IDR 83.02 trillion to IDR 88.36 trillion for the 2025 RAPBN.
"For the need for electricity subsidies in the APBN era for the 2025 fiscal year, it is Rp. 83.02 to Rp. 88.36 trillion," said Director General of Electricity Jisman Hutajulu in a hearing with Commission VII of the DPR, Monday, June 3.
Jisman said the gka was the result of calculations assuming an rupiah exchange rate of Rp. 15,300' Rp. 16,000 per US dollar, the assumption that the price of Indonesian crude oil or Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) was US$7585 per barrel, and inflation was 1.53.5 percent.

Jisman further detailed that 41.08 million people were targeted for subsidies with the largest recipients coming from 450 VA power user households of 45.46 to 45.99 percent with an estimated budget of IDR 38.18 trillion to IDR 40.16 trillion.
Then household customers with 900 VA power with a subsidy budget of Rp. 15.75 trillion to Rp. 16.68 trillion. Then small businesses of Rp. 9.39 trillion to Rp. 10.18 trillion, followed by small industries of Rp. 5.93 trillion to Rp. 6.51 trillion, government circles of Rp. 0.36 trillion to Rp. 0.39 trillion, social customers of Rp. 12.16 trillion to Rp. 13.08 trillion and others of Rp. 1.24 trillion to Rp. 1.34 trillion.
"Corrupting a more efficient and fair energy transition taking into account aspects of the economy, social, fiscal, and environment," concluded Jisman.
