OIKN Chief Resigns, President Jokowi Is Still Scheduled To Be Headquartered At IKN June-July
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono said President Joko Widodo is scheduled to have an office in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) around the end of June or early July.
Basuki, who was also appointed as Acting Head of the IKN Authority, detailed that President Jokowi began to have an office in IKN after the supply of raw water was available.
"This June, the water has entered. Now the pumps are being taken. On June 7 to Balikpapan, we will install it. This is June 3 taken (the pump), June 7, the water reaches Balikpapan, installed, hopefully at the end of June or early July," said Basuki when met at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 3.
Previously, the Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Implementation Task Force Danis Sumadilaga said the State Palace and Presidential Office at IKN could be functional in July 2024.
Danis ensured that every building in IKN, including the State Palace and the Presidential Office, was already available with water, electricity and internet.
The PUPR Ministry is preparing raw water from the Sepaku intake, Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan, which has been installed and the pipeline network has been prepared by inserting the liquidity tunnel (MUT).
In addition, for electricity, PLN has prepared electricity supply sourced from solar power plants (PLTS) of around 50 megawatts.
Then from Telkom related to telecommunications facilities, namely the internet is put into a MUT box, then it will be connected to each building plot.
The Ministry of PUPR ensures that the construction of the State Palace, ceremonial fields, palace areas, and the Presidential Office remains on target and is expected to be completed and can be used for the Independence Day Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024 at IKN.
The celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024 at IKN, East Kalimantan, became the starting point for the gradual transfer of the nation's capital from DKI Jakarta to Nusantara.
The ceremony took place in the field of the Presidential Palace which is right in front of the Presidential Palace, facing the national axis and landscape views of the entire city of IKN.
Not only the Presidential Palace field, in order to support the smooth ceremony of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence on August 17, 2024, various IKN areas were also reviewed.
The Presidential Palace, Memorial Park, and construction workers' residences will later become supporting accommodation during the ceremony.
