Wijaya Karya Pockets New Contracts Of IDR 5.5 Trillion Until April 2024
JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has a new contract of IDR 5.5 trillion until April 2024. The largest contribution comes from the industrial segment of 41.71 percent, followed from the infrastructure and building segments, EPCC, property and investment.
In terms of employers, most of the projects achieved by WIKA come from SOEs and the government, with a monthly progress payment scheme.
WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito (BW) said the new contracts obtained had met various criteria determined by WIKA, both in terms of employers and payment schemes.
"We are sure that in the implementation later, the project will contribute in the form of good business results in the coming years," he said as quoted from the official website of WIKA, Monday, June 3.
With this strategy, Wijaya Karya is also able to have an access cash. Thus, WIKA plans to partially repay this Rp50 billion in June 2024 for the PUB I Phase I bond in 2020 Series A which was extended on 18 December 2023.
Meanwhile, in terms of operations, the company also printed new milestones through the groundbreaking of the Hang Nadim Batam International Airport Terminal 2 project, which took place on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
WIKA is the main contractor in the Hang Nadim Batam International Airport development design project. The acquisition of the WIKA section contract value is IDR 2.1 trillion.
In its construction, WIKA has a scope of work that includes the design and construction of terminals, air sides, land sides and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) installations.
Agung Budi said this project is also a good opportunity for WIKA to contribute to presenting quality construction works in areas bordering neighboring countries.
"With this groundbreaking, the company is committed to focusing on carrying out its work so that it can be completed according to the agreed time and quality targets and provide the widest possible benefits for all Indonesian people and especially the city of Batam," he added.
