Unable To Show Passport, One Chinese Foreigner Deported By Batulicin Immigration, South Kalimantan
JAKARTA - A foreign citizen from China with the initials XL (24) will be deported through Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang to his home country on Monday, June 3. Class II TPI Batulicin Immigration Office officers in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan Province, deported them because they could not show immigration documents while undergoing examination.
Chronology of the arrest and deportation process began when the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Team (Inteljakim) of the Batulicin Immigration Office held an immigration surveillance operation to capture XL.
Officers carry out routine surveillance operations against PT. Indonesia Equipment Center located in Angsana District, Tanah Bumbu Regency. While conducting surveillance, officers examined a foreigner who was working at the company.
However, at the time of the initial examination, the person concerned could not show and show his passport to the officer.
"We secured the person concerned on Tuesday, May 21, at around 08.00 WITA in Angsana District," said Head of the Batulicin TPI Class II Immigration Office I Gusti Bagus M Ibrahim in Batulicin, Saturday.
Following up on these findings, the Batulicin Immigration Office Inteldakim Team took the foreigner to the Batulicin Immigration Office together with company representatives for further investigation related to alleged violations of Article 71 letter (a) and letter (b) Jo. Article 116 Jo. Article 122 letter (a).
Based on the results of the follow-up examination, XL is subject to administrative immigration actions in accordance with Article 75 paragraph (1) because it does not comply with the applicable laws and regulations.
The reason is, the Chinese cannot show and submit travel documents to immigration officers when conducting immigration surveillance.
"For this violation, XL is subject to immigration administrative action in the form of detention and deportation to the country of origin," he said.

Gusti stated that this firm action was to maintain security and order in the Tanah Bumbu area, as well as ensure that every foreign national obeyed the applicable immigration regulations.
On this occasion, the Batulicin Immigration Office also stated that immigration surveillance operations were carried out routinely and intensively to prevent similar violations in the future.
