410 Village Heads In Bogor Receive SK Extension Of Term Of Office Until 2029
BOGOR - Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu submitted a Decree or decree extending his term of office to 410 village heads in the Satria Match, Pakansari Stadium area, Cibinong, Thursday. May 30, 2024
"This extension of the term of office can provide leadership stability and a longer time for village heads to carry out village development," said Asmawa after handing over the decree.
He explained that Bogor Regency had 416 village heads, but the decree for the extension period was given to 410 village heads because four of them stumbled on legal cases, and the other two were carrying out the pilgrimage so that the granting of decrees was carried out at another time.
Asmawa advised village heads that the extension of the term of office be utilized properly to improve service quality and accelerate the achievement of development targets in each village.
"Village heads are agents of change that will lead their villages towards independence, progress and prosperity. Change agents in the village are one of the keys to the success of village development," said Asmawa.
Meanwhile, Head of the Bogor Regency Village Community Empowerment Service (DPMD) Renaldi Yushab Fiansyah explained that the extension of the village head was carried out in accordance with the results of the revision of Law (UU) Number 3 of 2024 concerning amendments to Law Number 6 concerning Villages related to the term of office.
He explained that the inauguration of the extension of the village head's term of office was evenly implemented, starting from those whose term of office was expired in 2024 and those that expired in 2027.
Of the 410 village heads who were given a decree for the extension of their positions, 19 of them finished serving in November this year and were extended to 2026. Then, as many as 222 village heads who finished serving next year were extended until 2027.

Then as many as 51 village heads who finished serving in 2026, were extended to 2028. Furthermore, 88 village heads who finished serving in 2027 were extended to 2029.
"And there are the last 36 villages that last year in 2023 the results of simultaneous village head elections that they should have completed in 2029 finally because they completed the extension in 2031," said Renaldi.
