BUMN Minister Erick Thohir Was Sued For Rp. 2.5 Billion Because He Was Assessed As Default
JAKARTA - State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Minister Erick Thohir was sued at the Central Jakarta District Court by PT Fajar Benua Indopack because he was considered a default during his term of office.
This was revealed in the lawsuit number 168 / Pdt.G / 2021 / PN Jkt.Pst dated March 12, 2021 with the object of the suit for default of Erick Thohir as the defendant.
Apart from personally, PT Fajar Benua Indopack has also filed a lawsuit against the ministry he leads and PT Barata Indonesia as part of a State-Owned Enterprise.
It is stated in the petitum that the plaintiff submitted six petitums to be granted by the panel of judges. First, accept and grant the plaintiff's claim in its entirety.
Second, it is true that the defendant has default. Third, the plaintiff has fulfilled its overall obligations to the defendant. Fourth, sent a sentence to PT Barata Indonesia for fulfilling the implementation of the payment obligation to the plaintiff amounting to Rp2.5 billion.
Meanwhile, this amount can be paid jointly with Erick Thohir and the Ministry of BUMN as proposed in Aquo's lawsuit.
Fifth, order the defendant to comply with the verdict and take steps related to the payment of obligations. And, sixth, punishing the defendants to pay court fees.
