MBZ Toll Corruption Allegations, Jasa Marga Claims Mutu Beton Exceeds Specifications
PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) said the concrete quality of the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Flyover Toll Road exceeded specifications.
President Director of PT JJC Hendri Taufik said that his party had tested 15,000 samples of slab casting work during the toll construction period.
Hendri revealed that testing was carried out on batching plants or facilitation of production of each concrete sample. This quality test was carried out in the independent laboratory of the Bandung Institute of Technology and Trisakti University. The testing, he said, was also supervised by supervision consultants.
"The results of the overall test of the concrete sample reached strong suppress 35-40 MPa, exceeding the required specifications of 30 MPa," said Hendri in his official statement, quoted Thursday, May 30.
Although in the testing process it was found that the pressure was strong that did not meet the specifications, he continued, the procedure carried out was to strengthen or re-correlate. The procedure depends on the conditions in the field.
"The mechanism is, if the results of the sample testing are proven to be below 85 percent of the specifications, the attached concrete will be dismantled. Then, the casting is carried out using new concrete," he said.
The security of the MBZ Toll Road is in the spotlight along with the emergence of a number of facts in the trial in the corruption case in the construction of the MBZ Japek II Elevated Toll Road for the Cikunir-Karawang Barat section. This cheating practice also ensnared the President Director of PT Jasamarga Jalan flyover Cikampek (JJC) for the 2016-2020 period Djoko Dwijono.
It is known that the witness in the corruption case in the construction of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed (MBZ) Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II Toll Road, Andi revealed that the concrete quality of the MBZ Flyover is below the Indonesian national standard (SNI).

Andi, who is the Director of PT Tridi Membran Utama, said the findings were obtained from a physical examination based on a request from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
"It was found that the quality of the concrete installed at the work location did not meet the SNI requirements," Andi said during a witness examination hearing at the Corruption Court (Tipikor).
He said that at first the BPK contacted his party to ask for assistance in technical verification for the examination of the MBZ flyover structure at the end of 2020.
The physical examination, he said, took 6 months. However, inspections are only carried out for the above toll road structure.
