Difference Between SIM C And C1 And The Conditions You Need To Know
JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps or Korlantas Polri officially issued a driving license (SIM) C1. This driving license is different from the usual SIM C.
The difference between SIM C1 is specifically for two-wheeled vehicles that have a large cylinder capacity, which is lifted 250 to 500 cc. Usually, the vehicles categorized as big motorbikes or moges.
Meanwhile, SIM C is usually intended for motorists with engine capacities of 0 to 240 cc.
"Sim C is the same as 240 cc. (SIM) C1 is from 250 to 500cc," said Director of Registration and Identification or Dirregident Korlantas Polri, Brigadier General Yusri Yunus, quoted Tuesday, May 28.
Not only designation, there are also differences in the manufacturing process. To have a SIM C1, the public must take a different test process than usual.
For example, in the practice exam, the applicant for SIM C1 will use a motorbike with a large cylinder capacity or moge.
Then, the course of the practice exam is also different. The width of the road will be greater than the usual SIM C exam.
However, for the SIM C1 theory test, it is said that there is no difference. All of them are leveled with the usual SIM C applicant process.
"For the ( SIM prekterk test) C1 there is a difference of almost 1.4 meters. So 2.4 to 2.5 meters," he said.
Apart from that difference, to get a SIM C1 there are requirements that need to be completed by the applicants. One of them must have an ordinary SIM C for at least one year.
"The SIM C1 test requirement for obtaining a SIM C1 is 1 year to have a SIM C," said Yusri.
