Medan Mayor Bobby: If Our Hands Have Not Arrived, Please Inform

JAKARTA - The Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution attended the commemoration of Isra Miraj at Al Ihsan Mosque, Perintis Kemerdekaan Street, Gang Mesjid, Perintis Village, East Medan, Thursday, March 11, evening.

The arrival of President Joko Widodo's son-in-law was greeted enthusiastically by residents. Bobby was also allowed to give a speech. In his speech, Bobby said, there must be mutual trust between the community and the Medan City Government.

According to Bobby, if mutual trust has been built, it will be easier to change Medan for the better and achieve success.

"Whatever has happened in the Medan City Government in the past, with the current momentum and leadership, I, as the Mayor of Medan, ask for support, asking people to continue to believe in the Medan City Government", said Bobby while attending the Isra Miraj Commemoration at the Al Ihsan Mosque, Perintis Kemerdekaan Street, Gang Mesjid, Perintis Village, East Medan, quoted on Friday, March 12.

Therefore, Bobby hopes that residents will provide information so that what has not been and what is not good in development in this city can be corrected.

"We beg the residents if any of our hands have not arrived, our personnel has not arrived, please inform. We must maintain this trust, we must continue to establish it using communication between the community and the Medan City Government", said Bobby while saying, the struggle to solve city problems one by one must continue to be in the interests of the people of Medan.

In this event, Bobby reminded again that Medan was still hit by a pandemic. Therefore, he invited the residents and congregation of Al Ihsan Mosque to always be grateful for the healthy blessings that Allah has given.

"Gratitude for that is not only shown by words, but by actions, namely maintaining distance, using masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands. This is a form of our gratitude to Allah so that this health blessing will continue to be given to us until the pandemic ends”, said Bobby, who reminded the residents who took part in the Isra Miraj Memorial to adhere to health protocols.

After delivering his remarks, Bobby handed over assistance for the mosque. The aid was received directly by the Chairman of BKM Al Ihsan, Asqelani Pulungan.

Previously, Asqelani had indeed conveyed to the Mayor of Medan about the mosque renovation plan. Also, he mentioned BKM Al Ihsan's aspirations to build a Quran House.

At that time, on behalf of the congregation and residents, Asqelani also expressed happiness and gratitude for Bobby's presence in this Isra Miraj Commemoration. He said this was the first time the Mayor of Medan was present at the Al Ihsan Mosque.

"And we pray that the Mayor of Medan will receive the protection of Allah in carrying out his duties", said Asqelani.
