The Plenary Meeting For The Ratification Of The State Ministry Bill And The TNI-Polri Bill Is An Initiative Of The DPR, Puan Maharani Is Not Present

JAKARTA - The Indonesian House of Representatives held the 18th Plenary Meeting of Session Period V 2023-2024 at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta today. One of the plenary meetings was to make a decision regarding the revision of the Law (UU) of the Ministry of State and the TNI-Polri Bill. All DPR leaders were present except for the Chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani. The leadership of the plenary meeting this morning was taken over by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR from the Gerindra faction, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad accompanied by the Deputy DPR from the Golkar Faction Lodewijk F Paulus, from the NasDem faction Rahmat Gobel, and from the PKB faction Muhaimin Iskandar. The members of the DPR who attended the plenary meeting amounted to 125 people and permission 165 people from 575 people's representatives. Meanwhile, 285 people were absent, including Puan Maharani.

"According to records from the Secretariat General of the DPR RI, the list of attendance at the beginning of the DPR RI meeting has been signed and there are 125 people present, 165 permits and with a total of 290 people from 575 members of the DPR RI and attended by members by all factions in the DPR," said Dasco, starting a plenary meeting at the DPR Building, Tuesday, May 28.

"Thus, the forum has been achieved and by saying bismillahirahmanirrahim, allow us as the chairman of the council, we will open the 18th DPR RI Plenary Meeting of Session Period to V Year 2023-2024 on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 and we declare it open and open to the public," continued Dasco. The two agendas for the plenary meeting today are the submission of the views of factions on the Macro Economic Framework and the Principles of Fiscal Policy (KEM & PPKF) RAPBN FY 2025. Also, the opinion of the factions on the 4 (four) Legislation Body Initiative Bill of the DPR RI.

The four bills are the Bill on the Third Amendment to Law no. 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, the Bill on Amendments to Law no. 39 of 2008 concerning the Ministry of State, the Bill on Amendments to Law no. 34 of 2004 concerning the Indonesian National Army, and the Bill on Amendments to 3rd Law no. 2 of 2002 concerning the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia. Followed by decision making as a bill proposed by the DPR RI Initiative.
