Fugitive For Corruption In The Maluku BLK Arrested By The Prosecutor's Team In Makassar
JAKARTA - The team of the Attorney General's Office and the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office arrested corruption fugitive Ong Onggianto Andreas in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
"The AGO team has arrested fugitives for corruption", said Idil, Head of the Legal Information Section of the South Sulawesi Attorney General's Office, when confirmed by reporters, Thursday, March 11.
Ong was a convicted corruption convict at the Maluku Health Laboratory Center (BLK). He was declared that the judge was proven to have caused losses to state finances of IDR 2.25 billion.
During the trial, Ong was sentenced to 5 years in prison and a fine of IDR 300 million, a subsidiary of 6 months in prison. The panel of judges also sentenced Ong to pay a replacement fee of IDR 500 million.
After this verdict, Ong fled in 2014. Until finally Ong was arrested by a joint team of prosecutors and immediately brought to Maluku.
