Bali WWF Daily Worker Arrested For Stealing His Friend's Motorcycle
The man with the initials ETHP alias Evan (23) stole his own friend's motorbike while on duty as a daily/paruh worker at the World Water Forum (WWF) event in Bali.
This man from Jakarta stole the Vespa Piaggio belonging to the victim with the initials CZ (21), a resident of Bali.
Kapolres I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Area, Bali, AKBP I Ketut Widiarta said the perpetrators and victims knew each other because they worked and served in the same place as a organizing committee for picking up WWF delegates by bus from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport to a hotel in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali.
"The perpetrator and the victim knew each other and worked together in the same place and the task was at the same place, arranging the pick-up of the WWF delegation. The victim and perpetrator only worked part-time during the implementation," said AKBP Widiarta, during a press conference at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Headquarters, Bali, Monday, May 27.
The victim lost his motorbike in the parking area of Ngurah Rai Airport on Thursday, May 23.
The victim also reported it to the parking attendant and at the same time checked the CCTV. In the recording, it appears that his motorbike was taken by someone out of the parking lot.
The perpetrator was arrested by the police. Meanwhile, the stolen motorbike was secured by the police from his residence on Jalan Pengracikan Kedongana, Kuta Badung District.
"In his statement, he admitted that he had taken the victim's Vespa automatic motorbike easily because it used the original key that the perpetrator previously found on the grass on the edge of the bus parking lot, which was previously said to be missing by the victim," he explained.
