JAKARTA - The means of cash withdrawals and other transaction activities using ATMs in Bali Province gradually on March 13, 2021, starting at 12.00 WITA will be temporarily disabled or not operational, related to the implementation of the Holy Day of Silence / Nyepi Day.
"To commemorate the sacredness of Nyepi Day, Caka New Year 1943, which falls on March 14, among others, ATM services in Bali will indeed be deactivated", said Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office Trisno Nugroho in Denpasar, quoted from Antara, Friday, March 12.
The former Head of DKI Jakarta KPwBI added that the ATM facilities will resume operating, as usual, starting Monday, March 15 at 07.00 WITA.
Meanwhile, electronic or digital-based banking services such as mobile banking will continue to operate as usual, as long as they are supported using communication networks or the internet.
"In this regard, to meet the needs of cash in the community, we urge it to be done before the schedule for deactivating ATMs by banks", said Trisno.
Also, other transaction settlements can be made non-cash via internet banking/mobile banking.
Likewise, in connection with the celebration of the Holy Day of Silence, the Bali Provincial Bank Indonesia Representative Office did not conduct any operational activities on Monday, March 15.
"Thus, banking cash withdrawal and deposit services, as well as debit documents exchange activities (check/bilyet giro) will be eliminated", said Trisno.
Furthermore, the Bali Province Bank Indonesia Office will resume its usual service on Tuesday, March 16.
