Barry Likumahuwa & The Rhythm Service Shows Tribute To The Rollies At Java Jazz 2024
JAKARTA - Barry Likumahuwa & The Rhythm Service appeared in the first day of the Java Jazz Festival 2024 which was held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta today, Friday, May 24.
In his appearance, Barry Likumahuwa cs performed tribute to the legendary Indonesian band, The Rollies at MLDSPOT Hall at 17.45 WIB.
They performed the song Chicago as a repertoire opener. Not without reason, the band from the United States was also often covered when The Rollies appeared.

Then, Barry Likumahuwa & The Rhythm Service continued their performance by performing the best songs from The Rollies, starting with the song The Rollies from the 1979 album Kemarau.
Barry explained how 'Kemarau' became a unique song, because this song had received Kalpataru, an award given to parties deemed to have contributed to the preservation of the environment in Indonesia.
The 40-year-old bassist also welcomed a special guest who came among the audience, Jimmie Manopo and the wife of the late Benny Likumahuwa who was the mother of Barry himself.
