Muscle Injury, AC Milan Goalkeeper Mike Maignan Threatened By French Defending Absen At Euro 2024
JAKARTA - Italian League club goalkeeper AC Milan Mike Maignan is threatened with not being able to strengthen the French national team at Euro 2024, June, due to injury.
Quoted by ANTARA from the Italian Football page, Friday, May 24, Maignan is reportedly experiencing muscle problems and has missed the last few matches of AC Milan.
Maignan has only appeared once with AC Milan in the last six matches of the Rossoneri and has made him occupied by Marco Sportiello.
According to French media reports L'Equipe, the 28-year-old is suffering a finger injury and is expected to miss the last match of AC Milan in the Italian League this season against Salernitana, Sunday (26/5) early morning WIB.
Maignan will then undergo several examinations to find out how seriously the former Lille player suffered.
The Cayenne-born player is listed as one of three goalkeepers called by the French national team for Euro 2024 next to Alphonse Areola from West Ham and Brice Samba from Lens.
Maignan is noted to have started his junior career with the Paris Saint-Germain team and promoted to the senior team in August 2015.
After almost five years of defending PSG, the player who was born on July 3, 1995 decided to move to Lille and was recorded to have appeared in 180 matches and was able to carve 65 clean sheets in various competitions with a total of 16,049 minutes of play.
