Jaecoo Acceleration In Malaysia, Will Launch J7 Model To Showcase J6
JAKARTA - Submerek Chery, namely Jaecool, plans to launch J7 this year in Malaysia. It seems that the acceleration of this brand from China doesn't stop there. Most recently, they showed off J6 electric vehicles similar to the Land Rover Defender.
Citing the Paultan page, Thursday, May 23, 2024, the J6 model is displayed at the Malaysia Autoshow with a rough design. The car, which was first seen in China last year, has a length of 4,406 mm, a width of 1,910 mm, and a height of 1,715 mm. The wheels have a length of 2,715 mm.
Entering the cabin, the interior is wrapped in a black and white scheme, a center console, and many buttons can be used on the steering wheel to control the vehicle.
In addition, this car is also equipped with many technologies like other models from China. Including a 9.2-inch digital instrument screen and a large 15.6-inch infotainment touch screen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.

This one car is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery which is also available in three sizes, including a 50.63 kWh unit (only offered on the RWD model) with a range of 401 km, a version of 63.69 kWh with a range of 501 km (RWD) or 472 km (AWD), and an exclusive battery of 69.77 kWh AWD with a range of 501 km. The charging speed is limited to 60 to 85 kW depending on the size of the battery. Therefore, charging takes 30 minutes to charge 30 to 80 percent.
The model will arrive in Malaysia after J7 which will launch in the first half of this year.
Speaking of Jaecool in Indonesia, the sub-brand will be present under Chery and plans to launch the J7 model next year.
Now, the J7 model is being tested for roads in various regions in the country. When the J7 model is officially present and gets a warm welcome, it is possible that J6 will also be brought to Indonesia.
