The Online Gambling Eradication Task Force Led By The Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Will Be Inaugurated Soon
JAKARTA - The government will immediately inaugurate the Integrated Task Force for the Eradication of Online Gambling which will be led by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi after attending an internal meeting with the President regarding the eradication of online gambling at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 22.
"According to the President's direction, an Online Judi Task Force will be formed in which the Chairperson is the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, the Head of the Prevention Division of the Minister of Communication and Information and the Chair of Enforcement is the Chief of Police. One or two days this was inaugurated," said Budi Arie as quoted by ANTARA.
Budi Arie said the meeting chaired by the President was also attended, including the Minister of State Secretary, Cabinet Secretary, National Police Chief, Attorney General for the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, OJK Chair, and PPATK Chair.
According to Budi Arie, the President asked the Online Judi Eradication Task Force which will be inaugurated to have an impact on gambling eradication efforts.

On the other hand, he said the Integrated Task Force for the Eradication of Online Gambling would make a breakthrough in a week or two after its inauguration.
Meanwhile, Budi Arie said that there were many reasons for the Integrated Task Force for the Eradication of Online Gambling, including the rampant cases that befell the community.
"Yes, there are many cases, many phenomena are concerning," he said.
