Fugitive Case Of Corruption West Papua Housing Office Arrested
The South Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office has collaborated with the Attorney General's team to arrest fugitive initials W (64) for the alleged corruption case in the construction project of the West Papua Provincial Housing Office for the 2015-2017 Fiscal Year.
"He was secured on Tallasalapang Street, Gunung Sari Village, Rappocini District, Makassar City. The person concerned is a fugitive from the Manokwari District Attorney's Office, West Papua," said Head of the Information and Legal Section of the South Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office, Soetarmi, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 22.
The suspect is suspected of committing a series of acts in a case of alleged corruption in the construction project of the local Housing Office. The suspect 'W' has been named as the People's Wanted List (DPO) since December 12, 2022.
After securing the suspect at his hiding place, the Tabur team then handed over to the Manokwari District Attorney's investigators to continue the investigation process. The handling of the next case was transferred to the Manokwari District Court in order to obtain legal certainty.
Previously, the handling of cases of alleged corruption in the West Papua APBD worth Rp41 billion in project activities for the construction of the West Papua Provincial Housing Office for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 fiscal years was still in court.

One convict on behalf of Martha Heipon as the Technical Implementation Officer of Activities or PPTK, with a sentence of four years in prison accompanied by a fine of Rp. 200 million.
Chairman of the Panel of Judges at the Manokwari Corruption Court, Soni AB Loemoery, sentenced the convict Martha Heipon to four years lower than the indictment of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) who previously charged Marta Heipon with five years in prison.
