DPR Asks LPJK To Seriously Supervise Toll Road Infrastructure Development
JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Lasarus asked the management of the Construction Services Development Agency (LPJK) for the period 2021-2024 to significantly improve the function of monitoring the quality of infrastructure. This is because there are many problems in toll road construction that must be repaired immediately.
According to Lasarus, toll roads have a life limitation, so that various damages must be anticipated by prioritizing planning and in-depth analysis from the start.
"We are sure that the management structure of the LPJK is very competent, so that it must immediately work in real life throughout the construction service business by paying attention to the upstream to downstream aspects starting from the planning stage," said Lasarus in his statement, Thursday, March 11.
Previously, the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing would tighten the fulfillment of minimum service standards (SPM) which must be implemented by Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT).
The Director General of Highways, Hedy Rahadian, said that this meant that the Directorate General of Highways would regularly check the SPM performance every three months.
This SPM has various criteria ranging from comfort, whether the toll road has a hole or a puddle of water, including part of the SPM.
Quoting the official website of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), the Minimum Service Standard (SPM) is a measure that must be achieved in the implementation of toll road operation. Toll road SPM includes toll road conditions, average travel speed, accessibility, mobility, safety as well as rescue / rescue units and service assistance.
The size of the measure that must be achieved for each aspect is evaluated periodically based on the results of monitoring functions and benefits.
