Four Prisoners Of The Vina Murder Case Will Be Returned To Cirebon Prison After The West Java Police Investigation Completed
Four convicts in the murder case of Vina are currently being held at the Kebonwaru Detention Center, Bandung. After undergoing the investigation process by the West Java Police, they will be returned to Cirebon Prison.
The four convicts Hadi Saputra, Supriyanto, Rivaldi and Eka have occupied the quarantine room of the Kebonwaru Detention Center on Tuesday, May 21.
"For the time being, we have united them, but they are separated from other quarantines. The detention of these prisoners until the investigation from the West Java Regional Police is complete," said Head of the Bandung City Kebonwaru Detention Center Suparman in Bandung, Wednesday, May 22, confiscated by Antara.
He explained that the four convicts were transferred from Cirebon Prison to assist the investigation process of the West Java Police.
Suparman revealed that the transfer was carried out based on a request from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the West Java Police to undergo further examination of other perpetrators who are still at large (DPO).
"This is for the purposes of investigation," he said.
The murder and rape of Vina took place in August 2016. The Cirebon teenager was murdered with his girlfriend, Muhammad Rizky.
A total of 11 perpetrators were involved in the tragic incident. However, only eight suspects have been arrested and prosecuted until they are convicted. Two other suspects are still at large today.
This case resurfaced after the film titled Vina: Before 7 Days' received public attention because the case still leaves three suspects who have not been caught.
