Threads Launching Feature Disable Notifications From Posts

JAKARTA - Threads, a microblog platform from Meta, has launched a new feature to control notifications based on posts. Now, Threads users can mute certain posts if the notifications interfere.

Platform X, formerly known as Twitter, already has this feature. Sometimes, you may not realize that your posts will be liked by many people so that your posts continue to get likes, comments, or even quotes.

When the interactions in your posts increase, notifications will continue to appear so you want to turn off the notifications. Since it was first launched, Threads users have not been able to control their post notifications, but now they are no longer.

Delivered by Instagram Head Adam Mosseri on the mosseri account, this new feature is already available to all users. In addition to launching a feature to disable post notifications, Threads has also rolled out the citation restriction feature widely.

"The ability to disable notifications in your Threads posts is now available to everyone. Citation control has also been fully launched, allowing you to delete unwanted re-sharing of posts," Mosseri said.

In fact, the feature to control post quotes has been visible since early May. However, it turns out that this feature has just rolled out to a small number of users. Therefore, they completed the expansion of the feature along with the notification disable feature.

Mosseri said he was pleased with the launch of these two features. In addition to providing users with more control, Mosseri believes that these two features can keep Threads as a positive platform.

"I'm proud the team is working on a feature like this to help keep Threads positive and give you greater control over your experience. Try this, and let me know your opinion is rewarded," said Mosseri.
