West Java Police Arrest One Fugitive In The Murder Case Of Vina Cirebon

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the West Java (West Java) Regional Police arrested Pegi alias Perong, one in three DPOs for the murder of Vina and Muhammad Rizky or Eky in Cirebon.

"It has been secured by Pegi alias Perong," Director of General Crimes (Dirkrimum) of the West Java Police, Kombes Surawan, in Bandung, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 22.

Surawan revealed that the perpetrator, who has been on the run for eight years, was arrested in the city of Bandung on Tuesday (21/5). He said that currently the perpetrators had been detained and under investigation by investigators.

"Last night he was arrested in Bandung," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Jules Abraham Abast, said that his party was still hunting for other perpetrators in the murder of Vina and her male friend, Rizky or Eky in Cirebon.

"Yes (in fact) we are still looking for (the perpetrators)," said Jules.

The West Java Regional Police also appealed to suspects who are still at large to be on the wanted list (DPO) to surrender, as well as to warn anyone who tries to hide the three of them can also be prosecuted.

The murder and rape of Vina took place in August 2016. The Cirebon teenager was murdered with his girlfriend, Muhammad Rizky.

A total of 11 perpetrators were involved in the tragic incident. However, only eight suspects were arrested and prosecuted until they were convicted.

This case resurfaced after the film titled Vina: Before 7 Days' received public attention because the case still leaves three suspects who have not been caught.
